Money Carer is a national social enterprise that has provided trusted money management service for vulnerable people for over 15 years. We are the largest provider of DWP appointeeships in the UK and are known for our problem-solving ability using innovations such as our biometric fingerprint scanning payment card.
We work with over 150 local authorities, 250 care providers and hundreds of law firms who use our systems and solutions to support the vulnerable folk under their care.
The welfare benefits team is lead by Pal Sandhu who has over 30 years of experience in the field having worked for a local authority, various housing associations and care providers. She is responsible for overseeing the strategic management and delivery of the welfare benefits service.
Pal manages a team of 5 welfare benefit advisers and 1 welfare benefits administrator whose main focus is to ensure all our clients get the benefits they are entitled to. The team carry out benefit calculations, complete benefit forms, dispute benefit decisions, liaise with external agencies, government bodies and stakeholders to streamline benefit claims and service delivery.
The team provide direct support and guidance to our clients seeking assistance with their welfare benefits. They help clients navigate the complexities of the welfare system, from understanding eligibility to completing benefit applications.
