Record Breaking Pension Gain for our Client!

A recent welfare benefits check performed by our team resulted in our largest gain to date for a clients State Pension. By carefully reviewing our clients history and eligibility, we uncovered a substantial unclaimed amount that had been missed.

Our client, who we had recently taken over as corporate appointee, was a retiree who had not applied for their State Pension when they turned 65 in 2012.

We made the application and after several months of diligent follow-up, we successfully secured a backdated State Pension amount of £83,319.70.  This result, our biggest single gain to date, underscores the power of our welfare benefits check service in uncovering entitlements that may otherwise remain unclaimed.

Example 1
A clients Pension Credit application had not been processed due to a
habitual residence being required. Though liaising with the clients social worker the
Pension Service issued arrears of £18,000. The team then submitted a Housing Benefit
application requesting it to be backdated to the date Pension Credit was awarded,
arrears of £16,275.26 issued. The client received over £34,000 in backdated benefits.

Example 2
The team identified that the severe disability premium was missing from a
clients Employment and Support Allowance since 2018, they were successful in securing
arrears of £22,298.35. Their Personal Independence Payment had also been stopped
due to a change of address. This was reinstated and arrears of £26,112.97 issued.

Example 3
The team liaised with a local council to get a clients Housing Benefit
backdated for 8 months resulting in arrears of £11, 997.76 being issued.

Example 4

A client was supported with getting the limited capability for work-related
activity (LCWRA) element added onto their Universal Credit which entailed the
completion of a UC50 form and attend a heath assessment. This resulted in arrears of £4,316.79 being paid and an additional monthly amount of £416.19.
